Dear Friends,
At our 5PM service, we are continuing our series through John’s Gospel. In John 8:48-59, the Jews resort to name calling. This is just another stage in their oppression of Jesus and the Good News that He brings. Jesus rebukes them by calling to mind His relationship with God.
Jesus’ authority comes from God and so it should be with us. We are to hold God and by extension, His word in scripture as our ultimate authority. No other gospel compares and nothing could ever compete with the words of God we have written in the Bible. Praise God for His written word handed down and translated for us to read in 2022.
