Dear Friends, One of the distinctives of the Christmas stories is that God’s Holy Spirit and His angels are very active. This is a sign that God is going to do something new and very remarkable. Zechariah is visited by an angel and because of his unbelief, is struck dumb. Mary is visited by an […]
Dear Friends, As I write this, Cheryl and I are eagerly expecting our first grandchild. What a world to be born into! There is a lot of uncertainty in our world with the new variant of covid now rampant. People are anxious and concerned. Our Premier has called for calm. Whilst we don’t know what […]
Dear Friends, Jesus explains the difference between true and false discipleship. True followers believe that Jesus was sent from God and He speaks through the very Words of Jesus. These Words of Jesus are very powerful because the truth sets us free from guilt and condemnation and brings true freedom, so we can understand what […]
Dear Friends, Today is the last in our series on the story of Joseph. Simeon and Levi committed deception and genocide of the Shechemites and were unrepentant before their father (Gen 34:31). […]
Many people are attracted to Jesus’ teaching. He is the source of spiritual life and our spiritual thirst is quenched by the Holy Spirit, whom he shares with us. His words are our sustenance.
Turning to God can free us from self-preoccupation. God alone has the power to change us and make this world right. He is the source of our hope.
If people choose to do God’s will, they will see that Jesus’ teaching has authority and comes from God.
